Gerald Tempton is an accomplished executive with over 30 years of experience in management and leadership roles across various industries. He has led turnarounds, built profit-boosting systems, and managed P&L across a range of businesses, from startups to established corporations. Gerald is an expert in corporate asset management and development and has worked in consumer products, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, and consulting. Gerald is currently the President and CEO of Tempton Consulting Group, LLC, dba/IGNITE! Family of Companies, which specializes in B2C, B2B, and B2G business transformation and performance improvement offerings. He founded the group in 2005 and has maintained a 100% success rate in achieving dramatic sales, profits, and expense savings for his clients. Under his leadership, productivity and sales in one company increased by 89% year over year for three years, and in another, he developed and received a patent on an Employee Scheduling System that saved more than $19M in payroll expense annually while enhancing coverage and productivity by 34%

Gerald’s previous professional experience includes:

Partner (Formerly President, Global Brands) of Parker&Morgan, a high-end luxury products company. He leverages his global expertise to lead global retail sales, global licensing operations, global luxury sales and merchandising, in Australia, Thailand, Singapore, and well-known venues in the United States. Gerald focuses on developing multiple channels to facilitate growth, including retail outlets, home shopping networks, web sales, and wholesale opportunities.

President, Director, and Officer of Record of The Jewelry Channel, Inc., Viabhav Global Limited’s (VGL Group) largest and most successful division, representing a teleshopping and ecommerce company with $200 million revenue and $74 million in EBITDA. He grew the company from 58 employees and significant debt in 2009 to a thriving, debt-free enterprise with over 700 employees by 2015. The Jewelry Channel – also known as ShopLC – achieved nearly 6 consecutive years of double-digit revenue increases and 66 of 69 months of outstanding profitability under his leadership.

Vice President of Stores, Operations, and Training at KB Toys, where he led $700M in global operations across 600 stores in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Tempton was part of the team that restored KB Toys to profitability in 2007 before exiting shortly thereafter.

In 2004, Gerald led a successful turnaround as CMO and Senior Vice President of Stores and Operations of Benetton Group. Within eight months, he reorganized merchandising, planning, and allocation teams to maximize inventory turns, gross margins, and complete brand development, and restored the operation to profitability.

Gerald Tempton has made significant contributions to various community service and fundraising initiatives throughout his career. He has been involved in targeted as well as multi-year campaigns with seven different companies. Gerald currently serves as a Founding Committee Member of the Don G. Kaspar Foundation. During his tenure as Vice President of Stores, Operations, and Training at KB Toys, Gerald initiated and led the annual toy drive campaigns. These campaigns aimed to collect brand new toys from the communities served by over 700 KB Toys stores throughout the continental United States, Puerto Rico, and Guam. The collected toys were then distributed to underprivileged children prior to Hanukkah and Christmas. Gerald also established aggressive fundraising goals for the United Way campaign and led the effort.
